Placeit is a powerful online tool that creates high-quality branding and marketing assets. It allows people to build beautiful designs instantly. Its enormous success led to a millionaire acquisition by Envato.
I was hired to help manage the growth of engineers. The engineering and design staff increased 3x times in four months. I worked directly with the CEO to help him reduce his workload from managing the engineering team and monitoring the system's performance and stability.
I received excellent feedback from the new engineers as I helped them numerous times to unblock them and feel them supported with complex tasks.
Responsibilities
- Write the Software Requirements documents with the CEO
- Prepare and monitor the product roadmap with the CEO
- Lead the daily status meetings and watch the team's progress
- Onboard and train new software engineers
- Test tickets completed by the engineering team
- Regression testing and troubleshooting bugs with the engineering team
- Coordinate the new templates with the design and video team.
- Monitor and alert the engineering staff for possible performance issues
